My son turned 10 and we bought him a new set of clubs for his birthday. He couldn't wait to get out on the course with them and today was the day. The second hole was an up hill par 3, 135 yards and into the wind. I hit an 8 iron that never left the flag. When we got up to the green, there was a big ball mark about three feet behind the hole but no balls on the green. My son walks onto the green looks in the hole and yells, "Daddy it's in the hole!" The funny thing was he was asking me if I had ever had a hole in one before on the ride to the course (1 previously). I'll remember the hole in one but I'll remember playing our first round together more so!
