My first hole-in-one was 15 months ago (May 2012) on a 160 yard hole. I never saw it go in - in fact I thought I hit it over the green, although my playing partner thought it went into the hole.

My second one (Aug 2013) was different. Although just 110 yards, the instant I hit it, I knew it was going to be close. The ball was hit very high and landed right in front of the pin, and one-hopped into the hole.

One of the greatest things about getting a hole-in-one is the "envy" you get from your golfing friends. In my case, several are single digit handicappers who have played for years, yet have never experienced the thrill of a hole-in-one.
