I started playing golf after I retired 5yrs ago and to be honest didn't like it much at first but as time went on it sort of grew on me. Did all the help videos and practiced a lot. I promised myself that if I ever get a hole in one I would get my first vanity plate for my car.
It was a overcast day, spending time my my grandchildren Hannah 14yrs. old and Camden 7yrs old and what better way than to take them golfing. They both love to play and of course drive the golf cart. We drove up to hole 3 at the Androscoggin Valley Country Club in Berlin, NH and Camden hit first than Hannah than I hit my ball with my 3wood 150 yrds to the green. The flight was spectacular than landed on the edge of the green, rolled towards the hole, hit the pin and in it went. At first we were all in shock thinking that it probably went to the side and we just couldn't see it, so we quietly got back into the cart not saying a word and drove to the green. We all jumped out of the cart at the same time and there it was "in the hole". The best part of my "Hole in One" Day was that my grandchildren saw their Mimi make her First Hole in One and the second best part was I got my vanity plate "HOLEN+1"
