The pin placement this day was difficult, close to the water on 2 sides of the hole. Long and left were the safe shots. I hit a 3/4 8 iron and the ball was tracking perfectly, though I couldn't tell how I was going to be on distance. The ball hit just left of the pin, stuck, and started to trickle to the right, eventually disappearing from sight.

My playing partner said it went in, to which I replied the greens undulate a lot and most likely it rolled behind a mound. He then asked the grounds keeper if he thought it went in, the reponse was a nod.

I reserved any celabratory response until we arrived at the green, there was no ball in sight and low and behold, it was indeed in the cup!

I feel I have joined a pretty exclusive club and am pretty excited about it. Hopefully I can do it again some day, but for now, just enjoying the moment!
