I was visiting my friend Kathy and playing at her home course in Georgia. When hitting the ball as our husbands were looking in the woods for their 2 drives. the Hole was no.11, par 3, 131 yds. I used an 8 iron and hit is sweet. Kathy and I watched it bounce onto the green and role towards the pin. The ball disappeared so I assumed it went off the elevated green. Kathy saw it differently.
The men were still looking for their balls as Kathy and I walked up to the pin hand in hand. We looked into the hole and there it was! We jumped up and down like we were teenagers. It was my birthday and I had turned 70.
