Hi my name is Sheldon Hilaire and I'm a 3-Handicap member and Vice President of Carolina Golf Club (CGC) in Charlotte, NC. We have one of the top 3 golf courses in town....a beautifully restored Donald Ross classic. We are a 500 member club with a current wait list to get in and high demand.

We are noted for our long and challenging Par 3 holes (#3, 9, 12 and 16). Yesterday, while having a solid round going, I was 2 over Par through 15 holes. Got to #16 which was playing 209 yards slightly downhill from the 2nd to last tee box to a back left pin. I decided to hit my 5-iron which from the moment it got airborne one.

Of the other guys in the group yelled out drinks....drinks as it started tracking. The ball landed middle of the green and began rolling right to left to the back left pin. About which time it yelled out heck go in...go in...and then we all saw it drop and disappear. We all started yelling and the other 3 guys all literally taced me to the ground. After making our way to the green it was totally exhilarating to reach down and take my Titleist Pro V1x ball out the cup as the guys were taking pictures. I was so dazed, I went bogey, bogey finish for a round of 73. Thanks for the indulgence
