My first hole in one
By Mitchell S On 4 November 2013
It was my and my sons 2nd 18 of the day. After both of us suffered triples on the previous hole we approached the 13th tee. With a 145 yard blind tee shot to an elevated green with approximately 120 yards needed to clear the pond in front of green I grabbed my 9 iron. A well struck ball was sent sailing towards the pin. I knew it would be close. After my son hit we approached the green. I couldn't find my ball. It wasn't on the green so we searched at the back of the green in the rough. Couldn't find it. I walked towards the pin and noticed a fresh ball mark about 6 feet in front of it. I peeked in the cup and there was my ball. I just made my first hole in one but didn't get to see the ball roll in. That's was fine. Instant gratification overwhelmed me. I began screaming and yelling. Other golfers looking at me like I was crazy. I guess I was at the time.
