I have been golfing for 50 years and this is my first hole-in-one. I came close many times, but this hole-in-one is very special to me because of all of the years I have been playing golf. When we got to the 18th hole, my partner was 3 strokes ahead of me. He said I would need a hole-in-one to beat him. I jokingly told him I would get one. The card said 146 yards to the hole and the wind was in our faces so I chose a 6 iron. I hit the ball crisply and it headed towards the flag. I heard a png sound like the ball hitting the flag and lost sight of the ball. Then my partner hit his ball and he was on the bottom tier of the green. I drove the cart near the green and my partner got out of the cart, ran up to the second tier, and looked into the hole and my ball was wedged between the flag and the lining of the cup. I thought he was joking around and I ran up to the hole. Sure enough my ball was in the hole! I was jumping for joy and everyone around the clubhouse was applauding and cheering for me! It was an amazing experience and a dream come true!
