My First Hole-In-One

It was a crisp, autumn day and I was on the 14th hole winding down my round. I was 14 years old last year and that was the year that it happened. When I visited my grandparents I always saw the plaques that said "Hole-In-One" with a golf ball mounted underneath the engraving... I always wanted one but I figured out that it was tougher than it may seem... The green was a severe two-tiered shape with the pin placed on the bottom tier. It was about 135 yards from the tee so I went with my wedge... When I hit the ball I knew that it would be on, but little did I know how good of a shot it was. My ball plugged into the hill that separated the tiers with about 10 feet of altitude between them. The ball trickled back down the hill to the pin... I couldn't see the entire green, but I saw the ball disappear. This feeling was one that I had been waiting for since I began to play... And now about a year and a half later with several tournaments and high school matches under my belt, that is still my only hole in one. I hope to have that feeling again, but I get a small taste of that feeling of accomplishment every time I see that plaque with a Titleist 1 mounted underneath the engraving. "Hole In One"
