Playing in a memorial golf tournament with my best friends and had my wife and 12 year old son riding by our side. We were a little steamed when we all missed a 17 foot eagle putt on the hole prior which we knew took us out of the tournament. Came to the 14th hold, 115 yard par 3 up hill with a hidden pin over a knoll. Grabbed a gap wedge, with the wind slightly behind me, smooth swing and said, NO.... that is short. My wife then waves at me and holds her hands about 2 feet apart and mouths the words "it is pretty close to the hole". My best friend Matty McClure, snuck up to the hole, turns and screams as loud as I have ever heard, which in reality is a feat in itself... he is always loud! Grabbed the ball out of the hole before I even got a chance to see it. Hugs and high fives all around! Such a cool moment sharing it with all the people I love the most!!
