After 40 (or more) years of golf, I made my first hole in one at Juniper Hills, Lakeside course, Northborough, MA. on Monday 25 July, 2016. Playing with 3 regular partners on our home course made this an extra special moment. Lakeside's opening hole is a par 3 playing 165 yards uphill to an elevated green. I hit my Titleist AP-2, 6 iron high and straight. It's a great forged iron. We could all see a big bounce on the front part of the green headed toward the flag but we could not see the hole from the tee box. Carefully checking the fringes and collection area behind the green, I did finally peek in the cup. Yup, it was there. My first ever ace! With just a bit of help from those lucky New England Patriot shorts...
