My first and only hole-in-one
By Parsons C On 22 February 2017
Hello Titleist. I have hit a few flag sticks off the tee in my time as a golfer but I only have had one hole in one. I was 18 years old and playing as chaperone in a juniors tournament at our local country club - Gardiner's Bay CC. Gardiner's bay is located on Shelter Island, NY which happens to be the town that I am from. We were teeing off on the fourth hole which is a par three with water in front. I hot my seven iron and what do you know......hole in one. The ball crushed the lip on the cup and went in. It never even bounced, I had flew the ball basically straight into the cup. I am 36 years old now and an avid golfer who about 30 rounds a year plus a yearly trip to Myrtle Beach with 15 of my friends every October. I still have the Titleist DT Solo ball in a case at home. This was before people had cell phone cameras on the course they could take pictures with. Anyway I just learned Titleist sends a bag tag to golfers who have had a hole in one using a Titleist ball so I figured I would tell my story. I would be glad to send you a picture of the ball if you would like that. Anyway even just typing this story was fun and put a smile on my face. I can't wait for winter to be over so I can start playing golf again in the spring. Thank you and have a nice day. My name is Chris Parsons
