My First!

My first hole in one is the one I will never forget, I was playing a round with my father at our local club in Augusta GA, Forest Hills GC. It was an overcast day, and we didn't think we were going to get a full round in but we tee'd off anyways! We finished up nine then made the turn and as we did It begins to drizzle. So, we pull out the ole rain gear and continue on! ... The weather starts to pick up so my father says "lets turn back and grab a nine hole rain check and a beer" I responded with "ok, but I would like to play my favorite hole on the course before we head in". Number 13, a par 3 playing 138 that day ... with the rain you could probably tack on a couple more yards ... so I pull a PW and tee it up ... my father is standing on the box ahead of me which is slightly more elevated and off to the left. I did my pre-shot routine, addressed my prov1x (always a #5 with my son's initials) and at address something just felt so right .. no jitters, no obnoxious swing thoughts cluttered up in my head ... took the club back and made a great pass ... it was one of those impacts where the ball just jumps off the face and u know its going to be good! Ball flight was beautiful .. tracking the whole way .. took one hop, then another hop ... then I looked at my father and said "where did it go" he couldn't tell .. I thought it might have jumped over the green (back pin that day) .. so we are laughing and joking riding up to the green saying "pull out your phone incase its in the hole!" Well, we get to the green and ... WOW instant goose bumps, there it was in the cup! ... we looked at each other with huge grins ... and started high fivin' and screaming and running around the green !!!! But out of the whole experience the best part about that moment was that I got to share it with my father .. up until then I always said "I hope my first hole in one is with you Dad" ..... a moment ... a day ill never forget!!!!! We went back to the club house had a couple cold ones (on me of course!) and a couple days later my dad came over to my house with a custom made hole in one trophy box! an experience like no other!!!!!
