For years I've hoped that one day I would get a hole in one, and that dream finally became reality this past Friday, August 24, 2018. What made this all the more special was the fact that it was on this day 15 years earlier that dear friends of mine lost their 11 year old daughter in a traffic accident. I had been thinking of her a lot during my round, and in fact I chose to use a New Jersey state quarter as my ball marker that day (the accident took place in New Jersey, where I was also living at the time). While nothing can ever take away the sadness associated with that loss, I am so thrilled that something wonderful is also now connected to that date on the calendar. Thank you so much!
