We had a 9:00 am tee time at the Cheyenne Country Club in Cheyenne, WY. Two of our foursome couldn't make it so Brian Stokes, a teacher and friend of mine, set out to play. We were getting ready to tee off on the 202 yard par 3 4th hole after a conversation with Ryan Paulson (one of the great grounds crew workers at our club...all of whom do a wonderful job). I pulled a 4 iron and hit it as well as I possibly could. I said to Brian that I hit it right at it and jokingly said "I think I made it". I couldn't tell where it had finished but felt it was a good shot. After Brian hit his tee shot we rode around the lake and up to the green. No ball was on the green, I assumed it rolled through so we looked off the back of the green only to find no golf ball there either. I told Brian he had to go look with me. As we walked toward the hole, sure enough there was my Titleist ProV1x in the hole.
