My fiancé Chris Salyers and I were playing a peaceful round on a gorgeous day at Graysburg Hills Golf Course in Chuckey Tennessee on August 25th. The course was quite busy so we were sent to the more difficult of the three nines called Chimney Top. The #3 hole is an elevated par 3. You can only see about a third of the top of the pin. The green is fairly flat once you’re on it. 102 yards straight up, think I’ll use the 8 iron. I definitely do not want to be short on this one or it’ll land right back where I just teed off. The shot felt good, Chris says “Tina that’s headed straight to the pin”. I don’t get my hopes up because I’ve only been playing six or seven years. We are finally able to see the green and we both say how close it looks. We get closer and he says he thinks it’s in. I’m kind of quiet just looking as I’m walking toward it trying to see if it is...or is it just close. He’s all excited yelling “it’s a hole-in-one you got a hole-in-one!”. I’m still skeptical until I get about a foot away from it and see for myself. Well, look at that! It was my very first hole in one! Great great feeling. Thanks for letting me share it with you.
