Lucky at 70!

I really had resigned myself to never being able to join the "Hole-in-One" club. I've played for the last 35+ years, once a 4 handicap and now, at 70, I'm a 10. It seems that my "skills" are diminishing rather than getting better. Love the game and it's never "A Nice Walk ruined" for me regardless of my score. At our local Tucson course, El Rio Golf Course, we were on the 13th hole. It was uncharacteristically cold in Tucson with a 15 mph wind directly in our faces. The hole is 114 yards away with a cavernous large mouthed bunker directly in front of the hole. Normally a wedge for me, I chose a 9 iron to hit my Pro V1x. A little draw and it hit about 3' from the hole and rolled in! That's a first for me, I've never even seen anyone make one! Celebration and then lunch and drinks, on me, at the clubhouse. Wow, I'd sure love to try that again.
