I'm 25 years old and have had many close calls...One day I even hit the flag on both par threes at our local course here in Bedford, Va. I was playing with the older guys on Saturday August 13th, 2016. I'd been playing okay coming into the 7th hole. I was 4 over and we was 9 points behind. I took my Titleist AP712 6 Iron and teed up a fairly new number 1 PROV1X! We have a giant oak that covers half the green of our number 7 par three which from the whites runs about 170 to center. Lucky for me the pin was in the front right which the tree doesn't cover and is only about 155 to the hole. As I settled in to hit the shot I told myself don't hook and just play straight at it! MAN WAS IT STRAIGHT! As I hit the shot and it was on line the gentlemen in our group said he would take a Jack and water with no ice. The ball landed about 10 feet short and released to the hole. What seemed as a eternity as it was rolling up we all watched and stared. As I looked I didn't see it roll past and I asked them if they could which they didn't. We had one more in the group to hit but as I waited I keep moving around looking but not seeing! We rode but and I jumped out of the cart before stopping and started to look harder and harder. Sure enough she sat there pretty in the bottom of the cup! WOW what a feeling! I have to say I yelled out in excitement which I think anyone could of heard! I only hope for more to come now that first one is finally out of the way!!!! =) BTW we made up our points on that hole and went on to tie for first! ;) Team player here!
