On July 30, 2016 I was on the elevator, alone, having a little chat with my parents who are both enjoying golf in heaven. I asked them to join me golfing that day as my league team was competing in an intercity league tournament. I asked them for some help or an intervention somehow, maybe... We were the first team out on our home course and all the par 3's were marked up for closest to the pin. On hole #14, Par 3, 124 yards, I pulled out my 5/6 hybrid and hit it very crisp. I watched it hit the green on the left slope and roll toward the hole but started to walk away because I was just relieved to get it on the green. When I looked down at the green I didn't see my ball, but I just thought it was behind the pin. My friends said they didn't see it and a couple said they thought it might be in the hole but we couldn't tell. When we got to the green, my friend ran to the hole and started jumping up and down. Only then did I realize it was hole in one! My first. I took my ball out of the cup, got a hug and high fives from my team mates and added my name to the closest to the pin marker and left it in the cup.
