I have just recently started working in the Pro-shop at The Pines of Elizabeth City in North Carolina. I had to work the morning of June 28th, but decided to bring my clubs with me to play a quick round after work. I teed off that afternoon by myself, but waited on a fellow worker that caught up with me on the 3rd hole. I am so glad that he caught up with me because 2 holes ahead happened to be the shot of my life so far. I hit a 6 iron from 167 yards. I knew that it was going to be a good shot mid-flight. I saw it hit in front of the flag and hop. I did not think that the ball was in, I just thought that I would ride up to the green and have a 2-3 foot birdie putt. As we approached the green I did not see my golf ball. I could see my pitch mark about a foot in front of the hole. I looked back and my playing partner and threw my hands up as if I don't know what happened. He went to check the hole and sure enough there it was.
