After the family barbecue on July 4th, a friend and I decided to go out and play 18 holes at Wethersfield CC in CT. Hole #17 is a par 3, 180 yard hole with the wind against me. I pulled out my 6 iron to do the job. After I teed off and the ball was flying through the air, my friend said "I like the way that looks..." As the ball soared directly in the direction of the pin. The ball landed on the green 5-7 feet from the pin. I looked away and told my friend "that's an easy birdie putt..." But little did I know that the ball was rolling towards to cup. My friend said, "wait I think it's in the cup..." I turned and looked at the green and the ball was nowhere to be seen...only in the cup. This was only my 4th time playing at this club course. And this was my first hole in one ever. My father is the one who got me into the game of golf and not even he has hit a hole in one after playing for 30 years. This hole in one was a great addition of excitement to the holiday.
