That's right, it took me 54 years to finally get my first hole-in-one! Sure I've had a good number of close calls. I recall my very first tee ball on my first round of golf I ever played and it was at the Battenkill Golf Club in Greenwich, NY. It was a par 3 and not knowing better, I pulled my 2 wood, yes, a 2 wood...hit a worm burner that actually hit the flag stick on its way off of the green like a rocket and into the Battenkill River. As a novice I actually thought the ball was going in the cup. I didn't think that I had made a hole-in-one though my two playing partners were very sure I had...I thought I flew the flag and the ball was at the back of the green. A course marshal witnessed my hole-in-one and asked what I was doing looking at the back of the green...he told me, with a laugh, to "check the cup!" And, there sat my ProV1 at the bottom of the cup! I'm hoping I don't have to wait another 54 years for my next hole-in-one. Thank Titleist...I've been playing ProV1's for a long time, they're the best!
