Its was Saturday July 9th 2016. It was a warm day at Bunn golf course in Springfield IL. I was with my friend Mike Ray playing around of golf. The play was slow on the front so we eventually paired up with a gentleman by the name of Dan. We had played 5, 6, and 7 together when arrived at #8. Dan was first off the tee, then it was my turn. The hole was playing 122 yards from the blues. The pin was front left with a bunker 10 yards from the pin. I aligned my shot took a nice swing and up it went. Mike says instantly "that looks good." I was a little less confident and said, "I think it's short." I look away and Mike says, "I think its good." I turn back in enough time to see it hit the green bounce once and roll in the hole. In disbelief I turn back and both Dan and Mike say it's in the hole. At that point I celebrated. I have played for over 30 years and finally hit the coveted hole-in-one. On a side note I almost broke Mike's nose in celebration.
