I'm Still In Shock
By Frank P On 24 August 2017
I'm a member at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL. I had hip replacement surgery on May 8th. I've been rehabbing since and at the end of July I was cleared to begin hitting golf balls again. I've been spending the month of August on the range getting back into golf condition to begin playing again in September and have been feeling real good. on August 21st I thought that I would play our par 3 course, which requires just a wedge and a putter. When I arrived at the 6th hole which is 75 yds, I lofted a nice high floater toward the hole and holy cow the ball went in on the fly. It never touched the green and all I heard was the sound of the ball hitting the flagstick at the bottom of the hole. I've witnessed some funny shots that went in the hole, but never a dunk shot that hit nothing but the bottom of the hole. This was my first and God only knows if they'll ever be another.
