Hole in One
By John S On 13 October 2017
My company has an outing once a year where foursomes compete for score with some prizes given for first, second and third place as well as longest drive and closest to the hole. I got my hole in one on #17 at Candia Woods Golf Course in Candia NH on a beautiful sunny September day. I used my seven wood and ran my Titleist DT TruSoft ball in from 140 yards with a very difficult pin position guarded by a large trap right in front. My teammates were excitedly shouting out that it was indeed a hole in one and were heard around the golf course. We videoed our progress from the tee box to the hole to document it. The following Tuesday I played the same course with AGC (Associated General Contractors) at their annual fund raiser. Hole #17 was worth $10,000.00 needless to say lighting did not strike twice. All I got from my Sunday company outing was a prize for winning and of course a closest to the hole prize which was on that hole and a bar tab that cost me money. Oh well it was still a thrill not many get to claim.
