Hole in One Jerry Feeney

I was in the first group of the 9/29/2017 Friday game at Mid South Club in Southern Pines North Carolina partnered with Rick Leslie, Mark Bennett and Bill Schreck. I had a lackluster start bogeying the first two holes but I was determined to get my game back on track at the par three third hole. I decided to go with my seven iron to a back pin 157 yards away. Two of my playing partners were already on the green. I hit a shot in to a slight breeze that drew directly toward the pin. We thought it had to be close but we could not see the finish due the hole being behind a small ridge in the green. On arriving at the green we saw three balls but mine was nowhere in site. I knew I flushed the seven iron so I thought it probably ran off the back of the green. I grabbed my putter and my sand wedge and headed to the green. My playing partner Rick insisted it had to be in the hole so I took a look and there was my Pro V1 identified with my circle around the number nestled in the bottom of the cup. It was my first ace. What a way to get my game back on track for the day!
