My husband Eric & our friends the Gallagher's planned a day to golf at The General at Eagle Ridge Golf Resort in Galena, IL; about an hour drive from or home in Peosta, IA. After birdieing the 1st hole with a 40 foot putt I knew it was going to be a great day. I've played this course 3 times prior and I knew from previous rounds I needed to play an extra club as this hole plays a little longer than the stated yardage; despite being an elevated tee box. I selected my png Pitching Wedge and my Titleist #2 -Velocity Golf Ball, took my one practice swing, then hit a beautiful shot right at the pin it bounced once on the green and went in the hole. Everyone was on the box and we had a brief celebration with hugs and high fives. Took a couple photos and then off to the next hole. It was a wonderful day of golf!
