I received my first set of clubs on my 14th birthday. I have played a lot of golf and have coached two high school teams. Par 3's are a nemesis. June 27, 2017 I was invited to play with some friends that gather once a month. Our match was even going to 16, an uphill 129 yard par 3 with the pin in the back left. I hit my shot and my partner said "looks good, I've seen 6 hole in ones.". I smiled. Dave was in front, Dennis was left and Joe was further left. We drove up to the green and I looked over the mound onto the green. I saw one ball that had to be Dennis but not a second ball. I looked behind the pin, no ball and no other ball on the green. I did see a ball mark about 10 feet in front of the pin and going right towards the pin. I walked to the cup and there was my ball. I looked at my partner and said "Dave, come here.". He said is it in there and I said " it's in there." What an amazing feeling. I only wish I saw it since it was up hill. I will keep trying for another in hopes I get to see it. Hopefully it won't take another 35 years.
