Good day got better

Thinking this was going to be "just one of those days" where every bounce went wrong and every chip went long or fell short, I approached the 119 yard par 3 #8 with a bit of resolve. I thought about hitting a gap wedge but changed my mind and decided to give the ball a chance to get back to the hole. After I hit, I watched the ball start to roll out and disappear behind the slope on the green. When we arrived at the green I was disappointed not to see my ball on the green. My partners, as we normally do, started to help me look for my ball when one of them decided to walk by the hole. He quickly announced that my ball was in the hole. So, what started as a less than exciting day just got better. I carded a 45 on the front nine and followed it by a 38 on the back. That hole-in-one must have been what I needed.
