Golden Bear Club First Ace
By Eddie L On 15 September 2013
What a day Sunday September 8, 2013 was. While playing in the Sunday game at my Club, the Golden Bear Club @ Keene's Pointe in Windermere, Florida, with my brother-in-law, I recorded my first Ace on the 12th Hole. With the hole playing 180 yards into the wind with a tough back pin placement using a 4 Iron and a ProV 1x, I hit a perfect shot over the water and the sand traps bordering the green onto the middle of the green. Because the green slopes down hill from the middle of the green to the back of the green, from the tee I could only see the Flag stick and only saw the ball land on the green. Once the ball landed it quickly disappeared from sight. As I approached the green the group playing in front of us was standing on the 13th tee box strangely applauding with no ball to be found on the green. Thinking that there was no way the ball could have possibly holed out, I bee-lined directly for the hole. Despite my disbelief, there was my # 2 Pro V 1x laying in the cup. My First Ace...thanks TITLEIST!!!!
