On Sunday, October 8th, 2017, I woke up to rain and a text from a friend that he was not going to play because of the rain. It didn't seem that hard, but when I walked my dog, the rain picked up, so I sent a text that I wasn't going to play. But, I decided to take a ride to see who showed up and maybe eat breakfast. We waited and decided to try and play three holes. No rain, so we continued. Rain picked up on the 8th hole and teeing off on the 9th, and we said maybe we should just pick up. We finished the hole and went into the ProShop for a Gatorade and came out to sun, so we said "lets continue until the next rain." So we continued, no rain, and hit my lucky shot on #14, a 166 yard hole, from an elevated tee, hitting over a pond, with the wind, and the flag on the front half of the green. I used a 9 iron (normally a 150 yard club for me) because of the down hill and wind. I hit my typical draw, I thought it was going to be short, it landed about 4 feet right of the hole on the green and rolled in. An amazing feeling and experience with friends. The ball, Titleist DT TruSoft ... it was the third round I had used the ball. It's out of the bag now! Looking at the picture, you can see the elevated tee box (at bottom of flag). :-)
