Coming off of holes 3 and 4 at The Overlook Golf Club in Hollis, NH where I had just made double and double. I was looking for a good iron shot to get back into things after starting out birdie/par on 1 and 2. We talked about it playing 162 to the flag with a very light headwind. I usually hit a 7-iron here regardless. Tee box was on the left side, flag was in the middle of the green. I’m a lefty, so I liked everything about this so far. I struck a nice 7-iron turning over ever so slightly. It hit beneath the flag and I was just asking for it to sit. Next thing you know, the ball disappeared! I celebrated with my playing partners and everyone around us clapped and acknowledged it.
