Two weeks after catching my first foul ball at a baseball game, lightning struck again on the downhill, par 3, 8th hole at the University of Maryland Golf Course. As always I pulled my 54 degree Vokey wedge and took a three quarter swing. As the ball was in flight I could see that it was on line and jokeingly I said, "get in the hole." I kept watching and watched fly directly into the hole, no hop, no role, just a slam dunk in the shadow of Cole Field House -- Gary Williams and Lefty Drezzel would have been proud. So in less than a month, I caught a foul ball on opening day and had a hole-in-one, I am going to stay home during any lightning storms -- just to be safe.
