On August 13, 2018, I finally made my first hole-in-one! I have been playing golf for over 30 years, and never stopped believing that it would occur. I was visiting the Southern Pines / Pinehurst, North Carolina area and decided to play an emergency 9 holes before I departed. I was playing at Talamore Golf Resort in Southern Pines, and my hole-in-one occurred on the 2nd Hole, Par 3, measuring 165 yards and accomplished the feat with my 716-TMB 6-iron. The pin was tucked right behind the front pot bunker, so when I saw the ball disappear, I did not really know if it was in the hole or if it had just settled on a low spot. As I approached the green, it became clearly evident where the ball ended up. I was elated and so happy that I was playing golf with great friends with which I could share such a memorable moment.
