I've been playing for 22 years. I've made eagles on par 4s and 5s, an albatross once, but never a hole in one although I've been witness to several. A few guys that work with me at Pine Needles Inn and Golf Club in Southern Pines decided to check a local course that had been struggling but came under new ownership last year and did a renovation including new champion Bermuda greens. The new Quail Ridge in Sanford NC was in good shape but I struggled all day off the tee only hitting 2 fairways. The stars aligned on the par 3 7th though. 156 on the card but with a front pin the range finder said 148 to the pin. Perfect PW for me with my 1994 irons and a ProV1 with a slight breeze from behind and to the left. I invisioned and high baby draw aimed at the right front edge of the green. Took my shot and new it was going to be close. Ball landed 6 ft short, small hop on the firm greens, checked and trickled in. The old clubs I'm been trying upgrade but just cant really afford to might still have a little life left in them. Especially when paired with the number one ball in golf! Thanks
