First Hole-in-One

I was playing with a foursome at the Highlands Golf Course, arriving at the 16th hole which some consider the toughest 3 par in the area. It is an elevated green and on this day it was directly into about a one club wind. The front of the green is guarded by sand traps on both the left and right. My shot was just as you would want it and directly at the flag. Because of the elevation I couldn't see the ball land but I guessed it might be close. When I arrived at the green there were no balls to be seen. My first thought was that It had gone long and off the putting surface. I walked to the flag just to check and there it was at the bottom of the cup. Happy days! At 74 years of age, my first hole-in-one.
