First Hole in One

I have been playing golf for about 15 years. Pretty much a weekend warrior I guess. We were playing in an annual benefit tournament called, Fire in the Hole. This tournament is organized by a couple of local fire departments and it benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). We were on hole 11. It was a clear but very hot and humid day and the pin was playing 131 yards. I grabbed my pitching wedge and gave it a smooth easy wack. A buddy of mine complimented the shot as it flew towards the hole. As it came down I lost sight of it, but my buddy said it was up, but close. After a couple of seconds he lifted his sunglasses from his eyes and took a closer look and stated that he didn't see the ball anymore. After giving it a look my self I also did not see the ball anymore. We gave each other that "no way" look and I took off into a hasty walk towards the hole. As I approached I realized my ball was nowhere in sight. I walked up to the hole and there my ball sat, in the bottom of the cup. My ball had about 3 feet past the hole, checked up, and rolled back into the hole for my first Hole in One! It was a very exciting experience.
