On April 8, 2015 I got my first ace after 57 years paying the game. It was significant for me, as a high single digit handicap, I had been close many times but had never been able to put a 1 on the card. Being early in the year, I did not get to share my accomplishment with anybody but my group at the 19th hole. Later in the day I found out that Jack Nicklaus had his first Master Par 3 course ace in 57 years.
