High on England’s South Downs overbooking the mediaeval town of Lewes, the 12th at Lewes GC is a downhill 180 yards onto a long narrow rectangular green. I was playing a ProV1x and my 6 iron was a sweet strike, pitched right on line on the green and with surreal precision rolled up and dropped into the cup. My playing partner said he’d never even seen a hole in one, and I replied I hadn’t either!
