Finally Made the Hole-in-One Club!

After playing golf for 36 years, including competitively through college, and logging more rounds than I can count, I finally pulled off the unthinkable on May 27, 2018. On the signature hole at Indian Rock Golf Club in Laurie, MO (Lake of the Ozarks), I managed to hit a gap wedge from 125 yards. Playing with my brother-in-law, we watched my gap wedge land 6 feet past the cup and spin back towards the hole. At one point, the ball disappeared and we began yelling, but it then reappeared (clearly the flag stick blocked the view for a brief second), which turned our cheers immediately into deflated gasps of disappointment, then in a blink of an eye, the ball disappeared once again! This time dropping into the cup! I can't think of a better way to hit a hole in one, and with no better company than my favorite brother-in-law!
