I play golf every Monday afternoon with three friends. Two of them have had a hole in one, and they never let me forget that I haven't had one. Yesterday, I brought a co-worker, who also has had an ace. She reminded me of it during the round. Finally, I came to #7 at Michaywe Pines in Gaylord, MI on a great fall afternoon. 165 yds, into a breeze, I hit the 7 iron to a front pin placement. I caught it a bit thin, and wasn't sure it would get there, but i knew it was on line. When we got to the green, we couldn't find the ball. It crossed my mind, slightly, to look in the hole, but my friend Todd got there first. He looked up with a big grin on his face and pointed into the cup. NO WAY!!! Finally, it was my turn. The Titleist ProV1 I used was presented to me by my future son-in-law, asking for my daughter's hand in marriage. He had it custom printed with a question: 'Will you be my pops-in-law?' along with an image of two rings. You can see them in the photo.
