Finally

I was determined to get a hole-in-one in this lifetime.
Last year after setting that goal I rarely hit any green on a par 3. I had to let go of the vision and just play golf.

For the past 6 years I have played golf on the 4th of July with my friend Pam Flemming, an amazing golfer. Sadly, Pam died in June of 2011 at age 57.

I was playing with my friend Ron Sammane and another couple who we were paired up with. I played awful the first nine. I started to find my groove by the second nine.
Hole #15, 92 yards, I teed off last, the two men, Ron and Dennis, made the green, the other woman, Beth was short. I hit my shot and it rolled in the cup. SWEET!

I'm happy it was on July 4th, it is an easy date to remember.

The woman said she was my 'good luck charm' because she had played with another person who also made a hole-in-one previously. Her name is Beth Goldsworthy. I call her Beth Holeworthy.

Was it Beth or Pam who had a hand in it? All I know is I'm grateful to be part of the club! Can't wait for the second one now, I hope I get one on my ladies Tuesday morning league.
