Playing at Trophy Club of Atlanta, Hole 14. Played from the Blue tees, so using the Bushnell, scoped it at 138, playing a little downhill. I decided to go with a smooth 9 iron (716 CB, mind you), just hoping to put it close. Got over the ball telling myself, "Just get it close. Just put it on, have a chance for birdie, but get out of there with a 3." Swung and hit it absolutely perfect. It was headed right at the hole, and my partners, one of which was my dad, were telling it to be good. One of the guys joked and said, "Get in the hole!!!!!" I saw the ball bounce once, inches from the hole, and disappear. I looked back at my dad and asked if he had seen it go in. He couldn't tell because of the slight hill sitting in front of the pin, so we all thought it had just run over the hill and gotten close. When we drove up, there was one of the guys' balls that had made the green, but that was the only ball to be seen. I knew it wasn't off the green because of how well I struck the ball, so I knew it was in then! One of my partners walked to the pin and sure enough, IN THE HOLE!!!!! What a feeling. All the guys high-fiving me, the group behind us on the tee box clapping and congratulating me; it doesn't get much better than that! Beers all around!
