So, I'm from Columbus, Ohio, as is Jack Nicklaus. I never really appreciated Pinehurst, designed by Mr. Nicklaus and I have always struggled with the second hole. Liked the hole, but was never ready for it as the second hole of the day. Last week, my world changed. I aced the hole - after parring the first - and suddenly gained more appreciation for the hole and the golf course. To help me with that appreciation, I finally birdied the fourth hole - one of Pinehurst Country Clubs most difficult holes to score on - on Course 9 yesterday. Same Pro V-1 golf ball; different clubs involved.
