I was playing with a group that I had never played with before and our skill level was quite a separation but on the lee I enjoyed their company and listening to the banter .. I had a horrible front nine and was 4 over at the turn , having had 3 , 3 putts on the front nine I was trying to stay upbeat and show some class. the back nine i started swinging the club more freely and was at that point just trying to get out the round with a decent number , we came to the 17th tee and i let everyone else play first to try and calm myself from just missing a birdie from 8' .. we had a junior golfer playing with us so i was trying to set an example of how not to lose your cool lol .. the 17th is a 385 yard par 4 , normally i have about 20 yards to the green on my approach but today we where downwind so i was being mindful not to overswing .. I ROPED IT , i knew it was good the second it left the club face , everyone in my group said " scott drove another green today " i tried to down play it because there is a greenside bunker and didn't want to let myself down if it had found the bunker at rest .. everyone hit their various approach shots and i was still looking for my ball and at the point i had told them to just play out the hole so we didn't hold up any groups behind us .. Mr BK called out to me " scott what ball are you playing ? " i answered him back PRO V1 with 2 pink dots on it … " Scott your ball is in the hole !!!!!""" i fell over when he showed me out of shock .. i ended up actually holding up things on the following hole because i was shaking and still in shock that i had just aced a par 4 !!!
