Country Roads

I went home to Elkins, West Virginia to see my brother Michael--he had a personal situation going on and needed my support. We decided to venture to the local Elks Country Club and squeeze in 18 holes before dinner with other family. We climbed the hill to the Par 3/134 yard hole (#8) and I thought a wedge wasn't enough and a 9 would be too much...however I chose the 9 iron due to the back pin location. I could see about half of the pin but the other part was guarded by a mound. I hit a flush 9 and thought I was over the green. My brother teed up and went left of the green. He found his ball and I immediately went behind the green looking for mine. We both stood there looking around and finally I started walking toward the hole...my brother turned around and said you should look in the hole--I said on my way and much to our surprise, there was my gem 7/22/16. I cannot recall seeing my brother more excited--he needed that as much as I wanted it. Thank you Titleist and Pro V1!..didn't hurt having my new Titleist bag on the cart either.
