My first hole-in-one was in 1995. All of these years later, and after a two-year layoff from golf while battling a case of plantar fasciitis in my right foot, my first round was a company scramble at Fayetteville Country Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I stepped up to our third hole of the day, the par-3 17th hole measuring 135 yards. I hit a 9-iron and the ball never left the flag. What a great day for my first time back on the course!
