Charles (Chuck) Andres, June 28, 2017 It was a normal Wednesday nite men's league at Tomahawk Hills golf course in Shawnee, KS. Our foursome comprised of long time league members. I was playing well because the previous week, I participated in a member-guess tournament for four days. We approached the 6th hole. A short uphill Par 3 guarded by a bunker and a humped back green. I was second up on the blue tees. The flag was in the back of the green. It was scoped at 150 yards with a slight wind in our face. A six iron was selected. The ball, a 2017 #3 ProV1x brought previously from winnings of a scramble, was teed on a short plastic tee from last week's tournament. My swing just perfect and the ball made that "click" sound. It flew higher than my normal 6 iron straight at the hole. Like all the golf movies, I thought I heard angelic music as it soared towards the hole. I saw it bounce on the green and then nothing. Thought it was likely long. I told Ed, my cart buddie, that "it was one of my best 6 irons I've hit but it's likely long." Got to the green, pulled a couple wedges and my putter to walk on the green. Didn't see my ball everywhere. Mike said, "check the cup." In disbelief, there it was. A Hole-in-One! After over 40 years of golfing, it was my first. It was a dream shot. Beers for everyone.
