It was cold and windy and the ball wasn't going anywhere. We were on a 165-yard, par 3, so pulled my 5 wood out of the bag for extra distance. I knew I'd hit the ball pretty well and the ball flight looked very good. It was moving slightly to the right, but I think the wind pushed it back just enough.

When I saw it hit the green, I knew it was pretty close to the hole; then it rolled a little and dropped. My friend Greg was cheering, but I was still processing what happened. Did that really just happen? When I finally realized I'd gotten my first ace I was elated. Still in disbelief!
