It was pretty much an average round with my great friend Mike Palmer during our club championship at Country Club of the North. Playing ok, nothing special when we get to the 13th hole. Mike puts his on the green and I hit my ProV1 with my AP-3 8 iron with a soft draw over the pond. We could not see it go in because of the bank of the pond but Mike immediately thought it had gone in. Mike was telling me how he is a lucky charm for people getting aces as we approached the green. We could see the pitch mark about 6 ft short of the flag and sure enough, it was in the bottom of the cup. Mickelson leap deployed! Friends on the 14th tee and now on the 13th tee there to celebrate as well.
